Streaming Data
Each of the information boxes streams data to the trader. The window to the right of the TICKER is a MARKET MAKER window. Each of the windows dynamically refreshes with real-time stock data. Windows relating to a stock can easily be linked. The CSCO MARKET MAKER window is linked to the CSCO TIME OF SALE chart next to it.
The NASD Level I Screen
The top three lines of each MARKET MAKER window display the Nasdaq Level I screen, which is the only information that most brokers are normally allowed to see. The top line displays the name of the security, the last sale, an arrow to show whether that last sale was up or down and the amount of increase or decrease for the day, the order size, and the time of the last sale.
