not finding the tremendous opportunities that existed in the past, and people who have loved trading their whole lives but never have had the means or the tools to participate on a minute-to-minute basis are all now participating in DAET. Older people with the time and resources to commit often find DAET stimulating and rewarding. People are turning to DAET trading for its prospective economic opportunity and the lifestyle it makes possible. It is ironic that the same computers that have put many people out of jobs are now affording the opportunity for a very stimulating and fulfilling existence.
Day trading can be an exhilarating and a pleasurable experience, and it permits tremendous personal freedom. You can trade for the number of hours you choose at any time that you choose (assuming that the market is open, of course). You decide where and how long you want to trade each day. You can take days off because you are not working in a conventional office environment with petty office politics and a boss overseeing your every action. There is no compulsory overtime or weekend duties. DAET traders can close out positions and ''go home" at any time.
In essence, DAET is a wonderful occupation for anyone who is uncomfortable or unhappy in a standard corporate atmosphere and desires an uncomplicated working environment without interpersonal hassles. DAET is available to anyone with ability, skill, and sufficient capital regardless of race, gender, creed, sexual preference, or any other characteristics that are subject to bias or prejudice.
Also, there is no ceiling on potential trading profits. Some people want an unlimited opportunity because today's luxuries can become tomorrow's necessities, which is why no person has the biggest boat in the marina forever.
Today's Direct Access Electronic Traders can potentially make a decent living, in many cases surpassing earnings from their previous occupation. Trading success is the baseball equivalent of on-base percentages, not home runs. You don't want to be the Babe Ruth of DAET, where you strike out more than you get on base. Consistency is a meritorious goal. Small profits can quickly aggregate.
