Every trader has experienced some emotional factors at one time or another. Debilitating emotions arise from a sense of helplessness when the market is turning against your established position and seconds turn into hours. You must learn to react appropriately when the market is running against you because, as noted above, you cannot control the market. You can only control yourself.
Some major league baseball batting champions hit only .333. This means that the champ is out of the game two times in every three at bats.
